Im struggling to remove the base metal plate of the OEM seat because the 3 hex nuts turn but does not move. I am trying to switch this over to my new seat. Would appreciate your advice.

how are these quick release? you still have to use something to undo them, and if you don't do them up tight in first place they are liable to vibrate loose

I am going to upgrade my forks on my monkey. After watching this i think it whould be wise for me to just accept the price and buy completely new forks. Becsuse i KNOW THAT I WILL SCREW UP). 🛑🛑 I’m sorry, I just got my Monkey this weekend, however the question have is… When you installed your Relocation Kit, and didn’t have a License Plate Light to install; and rode the bike without the light, did the bike throw a code on the dash board; since the light wasn’t present? I was thinking of removing the “lobster tail” and not installing the license plate light, and shrink wrapping the OEM Harness end to keep it water tight. . Thank You. Great Content.

What are the socket sizes?

No need to do this.. your only looking for trouble. I've had mine for 3 years, just change the oil and that's it. Don't do this people, you'll end up ordering a crankcase gasket.... beware!!!!!!

Yep, I see the sugar sands.... lovely stuff but as you corner w/ the bike, have you done anything to the front suspension yet and I only ask b/c it looks like she's "bunching up" in the hard part of the turn? My words aren't the best descriptive for this but it looked like the suspension bounced 2-3 quick in/outs. IDKnow what to call it but if the suspension is stock then I'll kinda know that it might need to be upgraded. Anyhoo, nice day to ride.

Coming from the world of Harleys, most of mine are older, and did not have gear indicators, my new CT 125. Reminds me of the good old days, makes you a bit more intuitive, i.e. counting your gears, not to have an indicator is not the end of the world

So at upwards of 70mph or higher I hear the engine and/or wind buffeting, does she feel steady/strong? What about riding her at 70mph + for 2 hours? Would this stress the bike or you very much? Also would any mod of slightly larger windshield benefit you? This bike is more than I can afford new but you never know what might pop up on the used market when I'm ready to buy? That said, knowing the answer to my questions would help me know what the bike is worth to me. I like it as I see her ridden. peace & be safe

buy the bike for $4,grand USD. drop another $4,grandUSD in hop us, and still a underperforming slug. my old klr 650 is a slug but i do not need to drop thousands into it just to ride on dirt roads. and it can do freeway's no problem…just not cross county on the slab. it is at home on dirt roads. but i am getting old. and a heavy tall bike is not for me any longer.
